Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of installation services by J.Roberts Solid Fuel Services to customers across Ireland. By accepting a quote or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Services

J.Roberts Solid Fuel Services provides professional chimney cleaning, repair, re-lining and stove installation services across Carlow, Wexford and South Wicklow. All work is fully insured and certificates are provided on completion. We reserve the right to decline any job that does not meet safe installation criteria.

Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are provided in writing following a free home survey. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices are fixed for the scope of work described in the quote. Any variations to the agreed scope — including unforeseen structural issues, additional chimney lining requirements or customer-requested changes — will be discussed and agreed in writing before additional work proceeds. We do not carry out variation works without prior written agreement.

Deposits & Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total quoted price is required upon acceptance of the quote to secure your installation date and order any required products. The remaining balance is due upon satisfactory completion of the installation. Payment may be made by bank transfer, debit card or credit card. Receipts are issued for all payments. Work will not commence until the deposit has been received and cleared.

Our Guarantee

All installation work carried out by J.Roberts Solid Fuel Services is covered by a 5-year workmanship warranty from the date of completion. This covers defects arising from the installation itself. Products and appliances are covered by the relevant manufacturer warranties, details of which will be provided at the time of installation. Our workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, failure to sweep the chimney at recommended intervals, or acts of nature.

Liability

The liability of J.Roberts Solid Fuel Services in respect of any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the total value of the works undertaken as set out in the agreed quote. We carry full public liability insurance. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from delays, product lead times, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
